Surrey Bike Weight and Dimensions

The shipping weight on each bike depends on the bike you purchase. For example 1 Speed, 7 Speed or Pedal Assist (add 100 lbs. to a pedal assist).

Each bike is 50% assembled meaning that the bottom frame is equipped with the complete drivetrain (chain guards, pedal cranks, front axles, rack and pinion steering). All you will need to do is build it up (manual is available).

Shipping Dimensions

All bikes are shipped from Calgary, AB. The shipping costs vary depending on quantity, size and your location. An average range shipping rate is approximately $200 – $400.

Deposit

It is our policy to collect 30% deposit on all orders. The remaining balance is due on or before shipping to your location.

Restocking Fees

If for any reason you cancel your order, we require 30% restocking fees. Most orders are ordered directly from the factory which is considered a special order therefore, restocking fees are necessary making your deposit non refundable. Restocking fees are not applied when a product is returned due to a defect.

Assembly

We charge $75 / hour to assemble, which can take approximately 4 to 5 hours. Additional charges will apply to ship pre-assembled Surrey Bikes. This cost varies on the size and type to be shipped. Freight carriers will not transport unless the bikes is created and palletized. This may increase your quote depending on size of product shipped. in that case, sometimes we can utilize an independent shipping provider.

If you are assembling the Surrey Bikes yourself, we will provide you with a Power Point manual and phone support to help you along the way or depending on your location. Your neighborhood bike shop could provide a complete build for you.

Truck Lines

Depending on your location, Yes Surrey will locate a truck line for your shipment that delivers to your area at the best price possible.

Depending on the cost, location and freight provided, sometimes the best quote is for you to pick up your order at your nearest freight terminal or shipped directly to a business address as residential addresses typically cost more.

Delivery Times

Delivery times may very but are mainly Monday through Friday. If you need to coordinate a specific time for delivery, you can call the carrier directly with the tracking number we’ll provide to you.

A: Yes, we can assemble and ship. Although, shipping and assembled bike will cost extra.

Q: How to ship an assembled Surrey Bike?
A: Freight Forwarders require bike created and palletized which will cost extra to build create.

Q: Can we ship to a place where I can go pick it up to save money?  Distribution center?
A: Yes, most major cities and most major Freight Forwarders have terminals hold for pick up.

Q: Can an assembled Surrey Bike fit in the back of a pickup truck?
A: Yes, it will fit in the back of pickup truck (long box, close tail gate – short box, take gate down)

Q: Do you have means to off load your order?
A: Destinations without lift gates or loading docks will require 3-4 people with decent strength to unload the cycle from the truck.

Q: Are we shipping to a Business Address?
A: Some freight transporters charge less to drop at a business location rather than residential. Add $80 for residential.

Q: Do you need a Lift Gate to off load your order?
A: Lift Gate is charged extra $80. Once the box(s) are on the ground level, you will require 3-4 people with decent strength to maneuver the box (s) once on the ground. You are responsible for moving it anywhere you need it to be after that.

Q: Do you have a loading dock at your location?
A: If a business delivery location has a loading dock, the driver will unload the bike (s) from the truck onto the loading dock. You are responsible for moving it anywhere you need it to be after that.

Q: Are we shipping to a Residential location?
A: Extra charges may apply. The drop location in residential areas is curbside. The driver is not obligated to back into a driveway or help unload the cycles.

Q: Is your location in a Remote Area?
A: If your required destination is in a remote area, additional charges may apply. We will inform you of these additional shipping charges upon providing you with your original quote.
